Announcement of the Long-term Training Course on Systematic Evaluation and Meta-analysis of China Evidence-based Medicine Center
Systematic evaluation/Meta-analysis is one of the most important research methods and sources of best evidence in evidence-based medicine. At the request of the vast number of trainees, organized by the Western Sichuan Medical Technology Transfer Center and sponsored by the China Evidence-based Medical Center, systematic evaluation and Meta-analysis training courses will be held regularly every year.The specific items are as follow：
Training objective: To master the research and writing methods and skills of completing a systematic evaluation, meta-analysis.
Trainees: Postgraduates of medicine, pharmacy, preventive medicine, stomatology, nursing, medical imaging, medical laboratory and other interested researchers.
Training contents: basic methods and writing skills of systematic evaluation and meta-analysis, plan writing, literature retrieval methods and strategies, principles of literature quality evaluation, meta-analysis technology, RevMan5 software use, etc.
Training methods: using step-by-step teaching method to concentrate on lectures; curriculum content and systematic evaluation research progress synchronization. The center has many years of teaching experience and personally participates in the production of systematic evaluation of backbone teachers to teach, supplemented by discussion and answering questions. During the study period, the undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the attendance center include evidence-based medicine, clinical research design and statistics (statistics are only offered in autumn), etc.
Training Arrangements: Classes are held in March of spring and September of autumn respectively (January-March training). Interested parties can contact in advance.
Fee standard: 1 month: 3000 yuan per person, 2 months: 4000 yuan per person, 3 months: 5000 yuan per person.
Certificate: Certificate with a unified number stamped by the Chinese Evidence-based Medical Center will be issued after the training as evidence for further study, follow-up after training and post-evaluation in the Chinese Evidence-based Medical Center. The list of trainees will be published on the website of China Evidence-based Medicine Center/Online Cooperative Research Center of the Ministry of Evidence-based Medicine Education （http://ebm.cjebm.org.cn/）.
Accommodation: Please settle it by yourself. It can rent a house near the school. The monthly rent in Chengdu is about 1,200-1,600 yuan per room, 1-2 rooms and one hall. It is suitable for rent together.
Remarks: Please bring your own computer. It's better to decide the research topic before training and study with the topic and problem.
