Cochrane China Network Chongqing Medical University Affiliate (CQMU Affiliate) Introduction
It was established in March 2020 at the School of Public Health and Management, Chongqing Medical University. It is a part of the Cochrane China Network and the first public health-led Cochrane affiliate in China, aiming to promote and support the use of Cochrane evidence in public health policy and practice; to support the Cochrane volunteers; and to promote and represent Cochrane in Chongqing Municipality and nearby regions in southwest China. The CQMU Affiliate focuses in the field of public health, especially the maternal and child health, chronic non-infectious diseases, nutrition and infectious diseases.

II. Functions of Cochrane China Network CQMU Affiliate
To support Cochrane review and other high-quality systematic review production through training and mentorship.
To assist health institutions and public health policymakers in making evidence-informed decisions in health care and public health issues.
To develop the community of Cochrane members and support members in their engagement with Cochrane.
To translate and disseminate Cochrane review evidence through social media and other communication channels.
To promote Cochrane and its work within universities, hospitals, health commissions, CDCs, and health care centres locally.
III. Work of Cochrane China Network CQMU Affiliate
Cochrane Evidence Translation
CQMU Affiliate has been working with the Translation and Dissemination Working Groups of Cochrane China Network in translating Cochrane evidence into simplified Chinese adopting the Knowledge Translation Framework developed by Cochrane, especially in public health issues including maternal and child health, nutrition, infectious disease control and chronic non-infectious diseases control. CQMU Affiliate regularly translates the abstract and plain language summary of Cochrane Reviews every month.

Training
CQMU Affiliate provides local training to facilitate and promote the production, dissemination and using of Cochrane evidence; and expand the effect of Cochrane evidence. The trainings are for the researchers in Chongqing Medical University, the affiliated hospitals, other hospitals and health facilities in Chongqing; and for the medical students including the undergraduates and postgraduates.
